Duo Forni / De Flaviis

The two musicians met in 2000 at the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan, during the chamber music lessons of M° Fulvio Caldini. The  immediate musical and human understanding between them lead to the formation of this now well established duo. Their many concerts performances in seasons and festivals throughout Italy won the duo the approval of both press and public, for their unusual and expressive sound (“Musica nei Chiostri” Milano, ”Stagione concertistica estiva Lago Maggiore” Luino, ”Teramo Jazz”, “Claire de Musique” Como, “PerAdesso Festival” Verbania, “Casa dei Mezzo Festival” Crete).
Their repertoire ranges from contemporary music to free improvisations on popular themes, from the European neoclassicism of the beginning of the twentieth century to Argentinean tango. Though different at first sight, these styles originate from the same roots, an ancient popular melody, and are then re-elaborated and sublimated by innovative composers.
